Given Name: Harold Osborn.
Nickname(s): Harry.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: It's always so fun playing them bi.
Age: Twenty.
Race: Human-ish.
Home Town: New York.
Fandom: Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Canon or Original: canon.
Character Portrayal: Dane DeHaan
Hair: A fairly unassuming boring brown, kept close to his head and always neat. Except y'know. When's rockin' the Green Goblin look. Then it's everywhere.
Eyes: The most beautiful pale blue-green you've ever seen.
Height/build: 5'6 / wiry but strong and sturdy. He doesn't look like much, but looks can be very deceiving.
Individual Features: Harry looks like a spoiled brat. But get close to him and you'll find this dangerous charm about him. His smile could be handsome, but it's almost like baring his teeth sometimes and not a smile. He's wound up tight and it shows in his features. It may not be what some would cosier 'individual' but I'm throwing that here. He also more often then not has strange green scabs on his skin in varies places. It looks gross, and it is gross. He gives off a strong, dangerous feel when he's not open and relaxed (and he's not very open and relaxed often).
When he's suffering from the Goblin, again, he changes a little. More of his skin is covered in the green skin, his teeth and hands and ears become deformed. He looks well… Like a goblin. It's not pretty.
Powers:
+ Strength, speed and healing: Like Iron Man, Harry's suit gives him high strength then a normal human. Unlike Tony's suits however, Harry's taps into his DNA, it's part of his nervous system. It makes him react faster, heals him and responds to him in ways Tony can only dream. Outside the suit however, Harry's pretty average again. Save for being wicked smart.
Family:
+Norman Osborn -deceased-
yeah that's it. Poor kid.
Friends:
All of these are ex friends or dead.
+ Peter Parker [ex friend now. Was his childhood buddy]
+ Max Dillon [not a friend. More… Ally. A tool]
+ Gwen Stacy [Acquaintance more then friend.]
+ Felicia Hardy [Personal assistant. Friendlier then he is with most]
Enemies:
+ Every fucker at Oscorp.
+ Peter Parker/ Spider-Man.
Occupation:
+ CEO of Oscorp
+ Green Goblin by night.
Personality:
Harry is one of those guys that gets quite the rehaul of personality through his film. You meet this charming, responsible kid with the weight of the world suddenly on his shoulders. He's tired and wary but happy. Ish. He's spent the last years travelling the world, meeting models and spending his dad's fortune as any rich kid might. But then his dad dies, he learns he's dying and well… That change in his world changes Harry a lot. Harry is cold, calculating. Desperate. He's the sort to have a fiery temper, snap at the slightest brush of anger. And it's a temper you really wanna watch out for. Harry is a vicious, cutthroat kind of guy, even before his mind goes a little hay wire. I'll get the goblin!Harry in a bit. Harry is the son of Norman Osborn. He has to be cut throat and dirty in business, and Harry just has taken that away from that and is like that in everything.
He puts 110% of himself into what he needs to do, be it good or bad. For the better, or simply for himself. Harry could definitely be considered selfish, but in a way that's perhaps… Less focused on himself and strictly self-sustaining (he wants Spider-Man's blood to cure himself, not test to cure other people as well…). He lives in a world where, he is dying, and he has to fight off men trying to take his father's legacy from him. He has to focus on himself or he'll end up broken in the streets of New York. Harry doesn't have what I would call… A loyal streak. He used to have friends, he liked people well enough, especially his old pal Peter. But things change and people change and once you step on his toes you're out. You get closed out. Harry keeps grudges you see… Very, deep, vicious grudges. Grudges that will have him killing people you love.
Harry's… Dark. A little twisted. And I honestly think that's because of being told at twenty he inherited something will kill him. It's a dark thing to learn and you either deal with it well, or badly. And Harry… Well he went down the darker road of desperation and fear. He enjoys seeing other people fall. Suffer. Especially at his hand (or the hand of those he's in control of). But that could be a little tiny bit of his sanity slipping.
NOW. I promised a little about goblin!Harry. Green Goblin wasn't fully explored in this movie. Which means I'm taking from my comic knowledge (which is less Spidey then most others) and playing with what I want. Mwahaha. Basically Harry is the Goblin, but as he said it 'comes and goes'. Meaning he has moments of clarity, of Harry. Cool and dark and cut throat. And he has moments where his crazy ass goblin comes out. Think Jekyll and Hyde. Goblin!Harry has zero conscious. Zero moral compass. He's giddy and nasty and will kill you without even thinking about it first. Harry's smart. The goblin is a brutal monster. Very Jekyll and Hyde from what my eyes saw.
Likes:
+ cigarettes (it's a problem, but hey. Stress relief).
+ Power (there's not way he doesn't love running Oscorp at 20 years old).
+ His suit and glider. (LET'S BE REAL. WHO WOULDN'T?).
+ Travelling. (it's a good ride. Even if it's nice to be home…)
+ Women, booze and schmoozing (Any and all of those womanizer rumours are true in fact).
+ Being the smartest guy in the room. (Well he is).
+ Proving people wrong. Coming out of his dad's shadow. Y'know y'know.
Dislikes:
+ His curse. (well it's trying to kill him and who wouldn't hate that?)
+ The assholes trying to steal Oscorp from him.
+ Spider-Man. Peter. Whoever. They both betrayed him.
+ When people doubt him by his age. Or doubt him in general.
+ His father (guy gave him the curse and was a shit dad. Better dead).
Fears:
+ Death. Death is scary and for a while it was a major threat.
+ Losing himself wholly to uh. The uh. Well goblin.
History:
[okay so there are some things the movie didn't explain, so I did take some power and use what I felt happened. Upon reading reviews and the like not everyone is in agreement to what happened and I dunno. SO.]
Harry was born to be the sole heir of Norman Oscorp. Oscorp, basically a huge company that plays with all things biological. It's where Peter parker got bit by a radioactive spider. Biological warfare, biological ways to heal people, everything you could extract from nature and do anything with it, well that's part of Oscorp's going-ons. Harry, is the sole heir to this empire. As a child, Norman wasn't exactly a great dad. His son had nannies and the like to look after him, raise him. Harry went to school his first few years like any average normal little boy. There he met Peter Parker and the two were thick as thieves. Harry was there for Pete's problems (like his mom and dad ditching him at his aunt and uncle's and then dying on him without zero clue of what, or why), and Pete was there for Harry's issues (being a rich kid wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Ask Harry). Best buddies. Through and through. Played with each other, grew with each other. Coulda been a great, life-long partnership… If not for the fact that Norman decided it was best to ship his son off to boarding school. And so, the childhood friends went their separate ways. Harry to a new school, leaving Peter all alone and in the all too willing bully-hands to come.
Now. Harry was always a little angry at his dad for shipping him away. He didn't have a choice, lost all his friends and had to stay away from home. It was hurtful. And that changes people. By high school he was considered a womanizer, charming and delightful (and rich. Very, very rich). By the time he graduated (top of the class of course. Look at his heritage), he decided to skip right out of the USA. He travelled for a time, through Europe and Asia. Settled in California, as far away from New York as he could get. And it worked. For a while. Until he got news that his dad's terminal condition had taken a nasty turn for the worst. So, once again, on his dad's beck and call, Harry packed up and moved. He visited his father, and the guy was in bad shape. His skin in patches was covered in green scales, his fingers and hands twisted into claws. Not pretty. It wasn't much of a pep talk. Mostly him telling his kid he was disappointed in him, but y'know, without another heir he's all he had. So Norman passed off a little unassuming cube. Said it was the best inheritance he could give him (wow cryptic, thanks dying goblin dad).
Oh yeah. And told him the condition, the disease? Hereditary. And warned the symptoms would start showing.
Lucky for Harry, he also promised the key to staying alive as long as he did (and hopefully finding himself a cure) was on that little device. Like clockwork, the shaking hand his father warned him about gave a tremor. Being told you're terminal isn't exactly a great gift to a twenty-year old, especially not as an inheritance. But it was a warning Harry needed to start searching for his cure now. His father died only hours after their heart-to-heart, and Harry became the new CEO of Oscorp. How cool? No. Not cool. He'd barely gotten into his first board room and his dad's men were trying to figure out a way to weed him out, get him kicked right out. No company could be run by a child to them. As if to embarrass them further, Harry informed them that they all worked for his assistance. Not him. Harry had no inclination of letting the old farts take over his company. Which of course only made things worse but hey.
News of Norman's death of course made it to the news, and was seen by none other then Peter Parker. Peter, being the pal he is, went to visit Harry. Harry at first seemed a little wary to keep talking, unsure if Peter was the same guy he remembered. But after a moment of banter it became clear they could rekindle their friendship without any hitches (for the time being). The two went out, caught up. Hung out. The usual guy deal. For Harry, it was a nice distraction from all the crap in his life. The deaths and dying and company. Hanging out with his old buddy again, it was nice.
Symptoms started to show up more. The weird skin ailment began to form on his neck. He began to look… Less healthy. Wary and ill. His company noticed. He noticed. And all he had was the little cube. It was actually an accident, discovering the information on the cube. Information about his dad and Richard parker's work. Tests and experiments to try and cure not only Norman's ailments but things like Alzheimer's and cancer. All tests involving the natural healing of (you guessed it), spiders. the way they naturaly could regenerate cells and heal themselves is what they wanted to extract. Hybrid, radioactive spiders were what they were using. It was shut down of course, when parker vanished before they could get to human trials (and unfortunately, Harry was also aware those remaining spiders were killed after the incident with Dr. Connors, like all the hybrid experiments in Oscorp). So like that, hope shattered again… Until he he realize not all was lost. It didn't take long to figure out that despite the whole thing getting shut down early, there were human trials.
A single human trial. Named Spider-Man.
Oscorp had their human trial all along, a huge, in your face success even. He just had to find him. And he could easily do that through his pal, Peter. Everyone knew Peter was the guy to go to if you wanted really good Spider-man pictures. So Harry figured his pal could get the guy to consider giving him some blood. A way to develop a cure, save him. Of course, Harry wasn't aware Peter was Spider-man, and Peter promised to… See what he could do. He returned, as Spider-Man to talk to face-to-face about it. He refused. Harry couldn't believe it, this guy that saved people… he was refusing to save someone. Spider-Man refused, because Peter was unsure of what his blood could do to Harry. Could make things a whole lot worse (ie. see Curt Connors and what improper use of animal hybrids can do). He left Harry in a hopeless, angry situation.
Not hopeless. Again, a flicker of hope. His assistant, Felicia, informed him that she had overheard his board members talking about a secret place for all their… Less public things. Somewhere the radioactive spider venom was kept. The spiders died, but the vital date was kept. All was on it's way to better ground again… Only for him to be knocked down. Blocked. Kept out, and locked out his his own company. The board framed him for the accident of Max Dillon (he's Electro. And that's a whole other story I ain't touching cause this whole history is getting out of fucking control. Moving on). But he went without too much fuss. Cause if there's one thing Harry's got going for him, it's his brain. So, he played nice, smiled. Left without throwing a fit or fighting too much. And immediately went searching for this Max. Broke him out, made a deal with the guy. He could do what he wanted to Spider-Man, and have access to the power grid Oscorp runs (that literally runs New York), if only… he made Spider-Man bleed. Electro would get what he wanted, Harry would get what he wanted. Everyone would win. Well, expect Spider-Man that is.
So, he and Electro headed to Oscorp to regain Harry's status and get the location of special projects, the vault of secret things. It took a little light show from Max, but it worked well enough. Harry left him to his power grid, while he made his way to Special Projects. There, he found not only the spider venom, but the suit that had been healing his dad. Keeping him alive for time. It's a familiar sight to those who like Spider-Man. Green exo-armour with a green glider. hm. Anyway, Harry wasted no time taking a good shot of the spider venom, despite having literally no idea what it would do to him. Well, it didn't heal him. It sped the process of the Osborn Curse, deformed him, shook up his mind. Painful, but he dragged himself to the suit and got himself geared up. Immediately, the suit started healing him, it didn't change the goblinesque look he gained, but it brought him back to his feet, allowed him to stand and continue his search for Spider-Man.
So, they took the grid, shut down power and like the predictable vigilante Spider-Man is, he came a running. Harry was at the time busy in Special Projects and by the time he got to the grid, power had been restored and the day had been saved (yaaaaay). Max was a tool so Harry spent no time mourning him and instead immediately went to see his Spider-friend. Only to find Spider-Man hanging with the girl who was Peter's complicated-not-girlfriend-yes-girlfriend-Idunno-it's-complicated. Harry again, easily put two and two together. It hurt. To realize it wasn't Spider-Man who said no to saving him. It was Peter. His best buddy. Of course, his mind was a little askew at the time, so hurt didn't really figure in until later, but it sure spurred on his need for vengeance. He scooped up Gwen and flew off with her, intending on taking away "Spider-Man's hope". Of course there was a rather violent show down between he and Spider-Man, and in the end, Harry got knocked out and Gwen got dead. Killing Gwen was his plan but he didn't actually get to see it happen. See Spider-Man caught her with a web but it snapped after he subdued Harry (unconscious) and she died upon impact cause he didn't catch her again quite fast enough.
Harry's last seen at Racencroft, the place he broke Electro out of. An asylum for the criminally insane (and sometimes superpowered), being visited by a Mr. Fiers. Where the two discuss the Rhino (a suit developed by Oscorp to take down Spider-Man) and a possible team to join it later.

The guy in the mirror was barely recognizable. Sure, the guy had his hair and his eyes ("You've got the prettiest eyes Harry…" How often had girls whispered that before a breathless giggle), had his figure and his face. But he was different. The coldness. The hollow eyes and darkness. He reached up, grazed his fingertips against his reflection's face before he shoved the mirror away. Mr. Fiers said there was a new future on the horizon. But Harry was still stuck, trapped in Ravencroft. He was starting to get more then a little stircrazy. And that was when it was just him in the cage. He growled and ran a hand through his hair. He could feel him, just below the surface, like insects under his skin.
"It comes and goes…"
He'd said that once. And it was true. He could practically hear the voice in his head. "Harry…". just a whisper, a nudge to be let out. But he couldn't. Not now. He needed his head. Needed to keep himself straight. At least until he got out the bars, away from the cage and back where he needed to be. He was still CEO. They were running it until he got out, and he had lawyers throwing out vicious lies. He'd get out eventually, once he was proved stable. To do that, he had to keep the curse and the goblin at bay. He could come back out later, once he was out and free to go take a visit with his ol' pal, Pete.
"Dinner time Mr. Osborn." Came a quiet voice of one of the orderlies. Harry glanced over his shoulder, eyed the plate of food with distaste. THis place was apparently state of the art, and yet they still fed him dog food. Still, it was better then nothing he supposed…
'Thank you, Phil." he growled, voice raspy and harsh, even on his own ears. Low. Almost defeated. Not that he felt that way, no. Since his dad died, despite being locked up, he'd never felt more… Alive. Powerful. Perhaps not in control. Not with the voice hissing at the back of his mind, "Harrry…" the giggles. Low chuckles, vicious in all they're hysterical. No, perhaps not fully in control. But that would change once he got out of the bug house, back on his feet. His lips curled slowly as he looked down at his hands. The right trembled something awful for a moment, but levelled itself out. Once he got out, he'd get back to his suit. Meet Mr. Fiers' other candidates. His mind flickered back to the other experimentsexperiments in Special Projects.
Six in total. Six. Six was a good number.
